Al-Safir Quran Competition Planned in Iraq
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 9th edition of “Al-Safir” national Quran competition in Iraq will be organized in the city of Kufa on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Ja’far Sadiq (AS).
According to the website of Kufa Mosque, the organization of the competition and other Quranic and cultural programs of the mosque were discussed in a meeting on October 28.
The meeting was chaired by Seyyed Mohammad Majid Al-Mousawi, custodian of the mosque and the affiliated holy shrines.
The participants discussed the preparations for holding the national Quranic event on the 17th of Rabi-ul-Awwal (November 15).
The key considerations for organizing the 9th edition of the cultural season of the mosque in February 2020 and the “Arabic Calligraphy” Day on the anniversary of Imam Ali’s (AS) birthday in the month of Rajab were also discussed in the meeting.
