Quran Memorizers, Teachers Honored in Yemen

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Awqaf and Guidance Office of Yemen’s Ibb Governorate held a ceremony on November 2 to honor 500 Quran memorizers and teachers of the country.

 

According to 26sep.net, the program was addressed by Abdul Wahid Salah, governor of the province, who stressed the importance of resorting to the culture of the Quran and acting upon the Quranic teachings in order to stand against the enemies.

He said the ceremony was organized as part of the programs planned on the birthday anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)), 

The official also said that the office has always supported Quran memorization centers of the region.

Foad Naji, deputy of Yemen’s Awqaf minister, was another speaker at the program who also stressed that special attention should be paid to promotion of Quranic teachings in the country to strengthen the resistance against the military and economic war waged on the Yemeni nation.

The program was also addressed by Sheikh Salih Al-Khoulani, representative of Yemen’s Awqaf Ministry who stressed the necessity of acting upon Quranic teachings in every aspect of life.

The 250 Quran memorizers and 250 Quran teachers from different Quran memorization centers of the province were gifted awards and trophies at the end of the ceremony.
