Egypt Invites 100 Countries to Int’l Quran Contest

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Awqaf Ministry of Egypt has invited more than 100 countries to send representatives to the Arab country’s 27th international Quran competition.

 

According to al-Yawm al-Sabi website Egypt seeks to have more countries attending the competition’s next edition.

As well as Muslim and Arab countries, it has invited Russia, Serbia, Greece and a number of other European and American countries to take part in the Quranic event.

It is slated to be held on February 8-12, 2020.

The 26th edition was held in March this year with the participation of 60 countries, including 30 African ones.
