Quran Contest for Women Held in Uzbekistan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran competition for women was recently organized in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

 

The women members of the Tashkent Islamic Institute took part in the contest, named “Our Hearts Home of Quran”.

A number of senior Quran scholars of the country, including Jahangir Nematov, Adhamjan Qari Rashidov, and Valikhan Qari Azimbayov were members of the panel of judges.

The three top winning groups were awarded at the end of the competition.  

Uzbekistan is a Central Asian nation known for its mosques and mausoleums. Islam is the dominant religion in the country, where more than 96 percent of the population is Muslim.
