Special Programs in Mashhad on Imam Hassan Askari (AS) Birthday

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Special programs are planned to be held at the holy mausoleum of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad, northeast Iran, to mark the birthday of Imam Hassan Askari (AS), the 11th Shia Imam, an official said.

Hojat-ol-Islam Hossein Shariatnejad, an official with the Astan Quds Razavi, said the programs, slated for Wednesday night and Thursday, will include Tawasheeh (religious signing), eulogy recitations, and religious speeches.

There will also be a special program for women, he added.

Thursday, the 8^th day of the lunar Hijri month of Rabi al-Thani, marks the birthday anniversary of the 11^th Imam.
