According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, “Fiqh of Water in Islamic Sharia and Its Civilizational Aspects” was the theme of this edition.
Fifty-five Muslim scholars and thinkers from different countries took part in the conference, which was organized by Oman’s Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs.
Ayatollah Ahmad Moballeghi, a scholar of Qom Seminary and member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts, was among the participants at the international event.
In his address, he underlined the need for focusing on methodology of Fiqh interaction with water.
On the sidelines of the conference, Ayatollah Moballeghi and Iranian Cultural Attaché Seyed Ali Mousavizadeh met with Oman’s Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs Sheikh Abdullah al-Salemi to discuss the relations between the two countries and the challenges facing the Muslim world.
