Quran Competition for Mentally-Disabled Underway in Bahrain

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A national Quran competition for the mentally disabled in Bahrain has been underway since December 10.

 

According to akhbar-alkhaleej.com, the competition titled “Ajran” has been organized as part of the 25th edition of Bahrain’s Grand Holy Quran Award and will conclude on December 12.

The Ministry of Justice, Awqaf and Islamic Affairs of Bahrain has organized the competition in cooperation with the country’s Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs and Ministry of Labour and Social Development.

Quran competitions for members of reform and rehabilitation centers and a Quran competition titled “Al-Bayan” for school students have also been held as parts of the 25th national Quranic event, which will continue for other groups until February 2020.

He added that the closing ceremony for women’s competition will be held in April 2020 and the competition in male group will conclude in the holy month of Ramadan.

This year’s competition has been held with 4611 participants, including 2263 male and 2348 female Quran activists.
