Int’l Islamic Heritage Award Planned in Iraq

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine in Iraq has invited experts and scholars to participate at “Al-Qamar” International Islamic Heritage Award.

 

According to Al-Kafeel website, the Islamic Teachings and Human Affairs Section of the Astan plans to hold the competition with the aim of promoting awareness on the revival of Islamic heritage.

Developing research works and making a list of the works written and translated in this field, encouraging scientific institutes to pay special attention to Islamic heritage, honoring the pioneers in preservation of the noble Islamic identity and providing Islamic libraries with precious works on Islamic heritage are among the objectives of the competition.

Scholars, experts, institutions and scientific centers in Iraq and other countries have been invited to participate at the competition.

The research works sent for the competition should be in Arabic and submitted by August 20, 2020.

Winners of the competition will be announced in October 2020.
