Director of Quran and Nabawi Sunnah Department at Libya’s Awqaf Organization recently visited the city to make sure preparations are going well.
He thanked the city officials for their efforts in preparing the city for playing host to the contest.
Efforts to develop Quranic activities in Libya are being made despite the violence that has plagued many parts of the North African country since a NATO military intervention led to the overthrow of former dictator Muammar Gaddafi.
