Rallies in India Condemn US Assassination of Iranian Commander

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Muslims in different cities in India held rallies on Friday to condemn the assassination of senior Iranian commander General Qassem Soleimani.

The rallies were held in cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Lucknow, and Kargil.

Memorial services also were organized to mourn the martyrdom of the former commander of the IRGC Quds Force and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy head of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU).

The two and several others were martyred in a US drone strike in Baghdad on Friday.

The White House and the Pentagon confirmed the assassination of General Soleimani in Iraq, saying the attack was carried out at the direction of US President Donald Trump.
