Martyred Iraqi PMU Deputy Commander to Be Buried in Najaf

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The body of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of Iraq’s Hashd al-Shaabi (PMU) will be buried in the holy city of Najaf.

Funeral processions were held for the martyr in a number of Iranian cities before his body was transferred to the southern Iraqi port city of Basra on Tuesday morning.

After the funeral in Basra, the body will be taken to Najaf for burial.

He will be buried in Wadi-us-Salaam Cemetery.  

Al-Muhandis, Commander of Iranian IRGC Quds Force General Qassem Soleimani and a number of their entourage were killed in a strike in Baghdad.

US President Donald Trump ordered the drone strike early Friday.
