TEHRAN (IQNA) – A spokesman for Iraq’s Kataaib Hezbollah Brigades said that by assassinating Iranian commander General Qassem Soleimani and Iraqi commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the US  crossed all the red lines.

Speaking to elnashra news website, Muhammad Muhyi added, “We are all waiting for Iran’s response to this US stupidity and then will decide on the type and extent of our response.”

He also said that Iraq’s resistance groups are part of the region’s axis of resistance.

Muhyi further referred to Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s speech on Sunday and said the Hezbollah leader drew a clear picture for the future efforts of the axis of resistance.

General Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, who was the deputy head of Iraq’s Hashd al-Sha'abi (PMU), and a number of their entourage were killed in a strike by American drones near Baghdad International Airport in the early hours of Friday.

The White House and the Pentagon claimed responsibility for the assassination of General Soleimani in Iraq, saying the attack was carried out at the direction of US President Donald Trump.
