TEHRAN (IQNA) – Secretary General of Iraq’s al-Nujaba Movement Sheikh Akram al-Kaabi said the Arab country is no longer safe for Americans.

Speaking during a visit to the house of martyred Iranian commander General Qassem Soleimani in Tehran, al-Kaabi underlined retaliation for the recent assassination of the top commander.

The resistance front will exact harsh revenge against the “Terrorist Americans”, he added.

“I have come here to express condolences to you and pledge that Iraq will no longer be safe for Americans,” he added.

General Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, who was the deputy head of Iraq’s Hashd al-Sha'abi (PMU), and a number of their entourage were killed in a strike by American drones near Baghdad International Airport in the early hours of January 3.

The White House and the Pentagon claimed responsibility for the assassination of General Soleimani in Iraq, saying the attack was carried out at the direction of US President Donald Trump.
