TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement’s representative in Iran said that after assassination of Iranian commander Lt. General Qassem Soleimani, the US should brace for attacks on its interests in the region.

Speaking at a forum on future prospects of power equations and the resistance front’s fight against the US, Nasser Abu Sharif said that following the assassination, more attacks are going to take place against US interests.

He said Martyr Soleimani was a shining example of resistance in the region.

Abu Sharif also stressed that strategies have been developed to force the enemy out of the region.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he said the resistance front turned the threats and problems in Syria and Palestine into opportunities.

General Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, who was the deputy commander of Iraq’s Hashd al-Shaabi, and a number of their entourage were killed in a strike by American drones near Baghdad International Airport in the early hours of January 3.

The White House and the Pentagon claimed responsibility for the assassination of General Soleimani in Iraq, saying the attack was carried out at the direction of US President Donald Trump.

Al-Hakim condemned the US assassination of the two commanders and said Trump will certainly regret authorizing this act of terrorism.
