Quran Competition Planned in Palestine
According to alwatanvoice, Hisam Abulrab, deputy Palestinian minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, said that registration for the Quran competition started on January 20 all over the country.
The registration will continue until May 15 and the contest will be held on July 5, he added.
The Quran competition has been organized by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs to develop Quran teaching and train a righteous generation in Palestine, he said.
Memorization of the entire Quran with Tajweed and interpretation of Surah Israa’, memorization of 20 Juzes (parts) with Tajweed and memorization of 10 Juzes with Tajweed are the categories of the competition.
All Palestinian students have been invited to participate at the contest. Ten top participants in each category will be awarded.
