Hamas Slams Saudi Official’s Remarks on ‘Deal of Century’
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A spokesman for Palestinian resistance movement Hamas condemned recent remarks by Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir on the US’ so-called Middle East plan.
Hazem Qassem said such remarks amount to denying the rights of the Palestinian nation, RT Arabic reported.
He added that they are also against the stance of Arab countries that rejected the so-called “deal of the century” plan.
Such comments only help the occupiers and the US government to normalize the plan that tramples on the Palestinians’ rights, Qassem stated.
Earlier this week, Al-Jubeir praised the US-drafted plan, saying it contains positive elements for negotiations.
“There are positive elements in Trump’s peace plan,” Al-Jubeir said on the sidelines of his visit to Romania on Thursday, adding that the elements “may establish the basis for negotiation between the two sides”.
