Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Hezbollah Chief Meet in Beirut

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary general of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah, held talks in Beirut on Monday.

 

According to al-Manar TV, during the meeting, which was also attended by the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Larijani and Nasrallah discussed the latest developments in the region and ways to counter political, security and economic challenges.

The Iranian top parliamentarian, who is in Lebanon on a two-day visit, also met with Ziyad al-Nakhalah, the secretary general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, on Monday.

He underlined the continued support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Palestinian nation and resistance.

The two sides also discussed the US-proposed so-called “deal of the century” plan for the Middle East.

Later in the day, Larijani met with Lebanese President Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Hassan Diab.
