Quranic Course Starts in Burkina Faso

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Dar-ol-Quran Center of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine has organized a specialized Quranic course for high school students in Burkina Faso, West Africa.

 

According to Sulaiman Vedrago, director of the Dar-ol-Quran’s branch in the African country, the educational course is a part the Quranic activities of the branch.

More than 20 students of the region have taken the course, which is underway at Imam Hussein (AS) School, he said.

The course includes practical and theoretical lessons on Quran reading principles, Quran memorization, Tarteel recitation and Maqamat (melodic modes in Quran recitation) taught by Sheikh Abbas Diakiti.

The classes are held once a week, he added.
