Al-Aqsa Mosque Sterilized after Every Prayer

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Islamic Awqaf Department of Jerusalem al-Quds said measures to disinfect the mosques continue amid concerns over the spread of the coronavirus.

According to Anadolu Agency, it said sterilization in the mosque that began on Thursday is done before and after very prayer to prevent the spread of the virus.   

First detected in Wuhan city in central China in December, the virus has spread to more than 100 countries.

The global death toll is around 3,500 with more than 100,000 confirmed cases, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
