Mid-Sha’ban Online Ceremonies in Geneva

TEHRAN (IQNA) – On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his glad advent), the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) Islamic Cultural Center in Geneva, Switzerland, has organized different online ceremonies.

 

According to the center, the programs are broadcast live.

They started on April 9 with recitation of the Komeil supplication and a speech delivered by Hojat-ol-Islam Rahmati, the imam of Montadhar Mosque in Lion, France.

Another program of the center will be held on April 10 from 7 p.m. local time. Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Subaity will deliver a speech on the occasion in Arabic.

Hadith Kasa recitation, poetry recitation, eulogy recitation and a speech in Urdu by Hojat-ol-Islam Ubaid Hussein are different parts of a program to be held by the center on April 11.

The center also holds online Quran interpretation sessions every Monday as well as recitation of Komeil supplication with the presence of Hojat-ol-Islam Ubaid Hussein on Thursdays.

Nimeh Sha’aban, the 15th day of the lunar Hijri month of Sha’aban, marks the birthday of Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent), the twelfth Imam of Shia Muslims.

Shia Muslims all around the world celebrate the auspicious occasion every year, but most of the ceremonies are held online this year due to the coronavirus concerns.
