Egyptian Qari Muhammad Al-Laythi’s Recitation in One Breath (+Video)

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Sheikh Muhammad al-Laythi was among prominent Egyptian Qaris.

 

Born in 1949 into a family of Quran reciters and memorizers in Ash Sharqia Governorate, he learned the Quran by heart at an early age,

He also learned Quran recitation skills from his father and other masters in his hometown.

Al-Laythi joined Egypt’s Quran Radio as a Qari in 1984.

He recited the Quran in many famous mosques in his country and also traveled to many other countries, including Iran, India, Pakistan, Germany, the US and South Africa for recitation.

He died on March 5, 2006.

In the following footage, he recites verses from Surahs Luqman (31) and As-Sajdah (32).

Quranic activities are very common in the Muslim-majority Arab country and many of the Muslim world’s top Qaris in the past and present have been Egyptian.
