Online Quranic Courses Continue in Saudi Arabia amid Pandemic

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Saudi Arabia’s Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance minister said distance education will continue in all Quranic centers across the country given the coronavirus pandemic.

 

Abdullatif Al-Sheikh said the Quran centers will continue to offer online courses, aleqt.com website reported.

He added that the health of the students is very importance and distance education will remain an important way to prevent the spread of the virus.

According to the official, the number of Quran learners taking the centers’ courses in the Arab country is around one million.

The coronavirus outbreak that originated in Wuhan, China, has infected over 37 million people around the world and killed more than one million.

The outbreak has had a major impact on global sporting, cultural, religious and political events, with a host of events canceled or postponed.
