Webinar Discusses Seerah of Holy Prophet (PBUH)

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A webinar on “the study of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) Seerah in the works of Allamah Seyyed Ja’far Mortaza ‘Amili” was organized on October 17 by the Iranian Cultural Center in Lebanon.

The program was planned on the anniversary of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) demise and the first anniversary of the death of Allamah Ameli, eminent Lebanese historian.

The Imam Ali (AS) Seminary in Lebanon cooperated in holding the program on Zoom.

Quran recitation by Abbas Mortaza from Lebanon, a documentary about the scholar and speeches by intellectuals from Iran, Lebanon and Iraq were parts of the program.

Abbas Khameyar, Iranian cultural attaché in Lebanon, Ayatollah Seyyed Hashim Husseini Bushehri and Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammadali Mahdavimehr from Iran, Hojat-ol-Islam Jalaluddin Al-Saqeer and Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Alaa Al-Mousavi from Iraq, Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Kan’an, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Ali Hijazi, Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Jabir and Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Mortaza Mortaza from Lebanon delivered speeches in the webinar.

Sayyid Jaʿfar Mortaza al-‘Amili, (b. 1364/1945 - d. 1441/2019) was a religious scholar, an expert in the history of Islam and Shiism, a Shiite biographer, and a scholar of the Islamic seminary of Qom and Najaf.
