Quran Recitation by Ahmed Mohammed Amer
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran recitation by late Egyptian Qari Sheikh Ahmed Mohammed Amer was recently broadcast on Iran’s Quran TV.
In the footage, he recites verses from Surah Maryam of the Holy Quran.
Ahmed Mohammed Amer was born in May 1927 in Faqus, a city in the Egyptian governorate of Ash Sharqiyah Governorate.
He learned the Quran by heart at an early age and then began learning Quran recitation.
Amer traveled to many countries for recitation of the Holy Book, including France, Brazil the US, and Britain.
He also visited Iran several times and served as a member of panel of judges in the country’s international Quran contests.
Amer died on February 20, 2016.
