Mohammad Parsaeian, director of the center, told IQNA that it will be held in cooperation with Imam Sadiq University and attended by Quranic scholars from Iran and several other countries.
It is aimed at identifying the potentials of culture in the field of understanding the Quran and discuss aspects of functionalizing its concepts in today’s world, he said.
Definition of culture, theories of culture, culture and cognition, cultural evolution and its role in understanding the Quran, cultural understanding of the Quran, Quran’s cultural models, role of cultural approach to Quran in the field of social reform and education, and cultural status of the Quran in formation of Shia thought are among the topics that will be discussed in the program, Parsaeian said.
Iranian professors Taqi Azad Armaki, Hamid Parsania, Maqsud Farasatkhah, Ahmad Pakatchi, Alireza Qaemi, Abdolkarim Bahjatpoor and Mohammad Ali Mirzaei as well as foreign scholars Liyakat Takim, Idris Hani, Charles Hirschkind and Ilkka Lindstedt will attend the program, which will be held online from August 12-27.
Registration has started and will conclude on August 11.
