Top Medical Student, Qari at Al-Azhar Owns ‘Golden Larynx’
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Anas Al-Shawadfi is top medical student at Al-Azhar University’s Faculty of Medicine besides being a world-class qari with a “golden larynx”.
Al-Shawadfi is known for having an angelic voice and a golden larynx, Youm7 newspaper reported, citing a report broadcast by DMC channel.
He aspires to be a doctor specializing in orthopedics, and to follow the approach of the great reciters who walked the path of medicine and the Qur’an at the same time.
Al-Shawadfi committed the entire Quran to memory when he was in fifth grade, while also imitating recitation of top Qaris of Mecca and Egypt.
He praised the Egyptian qaris’ commitments to rules of recitation and tajweed principles and their unique styles. Al-Shawadfi has also learned the 10 and 7 styles of Quran recitation.
