Baku Blocks Access to IQNA in Azerbaijan Republic

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Republic of Azerbaijan has blocked access of its citizens to the International Quran News Agency.

Baku has recently filtered a number of religious websites stationed inside the country as well as some Iranian websites that provide religious content in Azeri language.

According to visitors in Baku, the access to IQNA has been blocked in the country. IQNA provides Quranic news in 21 languages, including in Azeri.

The measure of the Azeri government comes as IQNA is solely publishing religious and Quranic news as well as some major world developments without any interference in internal affairs of other countries.

The Azeri service of IQNA was among top religious websites in the Azerbaijan Republic were citizens interested in Quanic events and teachings would regularly visit.
