Int’l Quranic Congress Calls for Papers

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An international congress entitled “Social Interpretation of Quran in Islamic World” has called for papers.

The scientific event is organized by Iranian Society for Quranic Studies and Islamic Culture, Iran's Culture Ministry, the Research Center of Humanities, and a number of other institutions.

The deadline for submitting abstract articles is December 21 and full-text papers should be received by the secretariat of the congress, not after January 20, 2022. The event is scheduled to be held on March 9 to 10, 2022.

The conference is centered on various subjects: The social interpretation of the Holy Quran: principles, goals, functions; Currents of social interpretations of the Holy Quran in the Islamic world; Social interpretations of the Holy Quran and religious reform in the Islamic world.

Other subjects include: Social interpretations of the Holy Quran and new sciences and technologies; Social interpretations of the Holy Quran and modern issues and doubts; The role of social interpretation of the Holy Quran in the formation of the Islamic Revolution of Iran; and the role of social interpretation of the Holy Quran, the prophetic tradition and the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
