TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Quran Center affiliated with the Astan (custodianship) of Al-Kadhimiya holy shrines is staging courses for women with a new method.

The courses are offered to women from different age and education groups and are a combination of memorization and the Quran’s maqamat, according to Qafqn.org.

Batool Jabbar, the supervisor of the courses, says 125 learners from different age groups and backgrounds are now taking the courses in Baghdad.

Those who cannot participate in the classes in person, she continued, will receive the content of the sessions virtually so that they can continue learning by using the WhatsApp app.

Learners will be assessed by a special committee and memorization bears the highest value with 60 out of the total of 100 points. 20 points have been dedicated to Ahkam (religious percepts) while 20 others related to recitation principles.
