Al-Azhar Chief Condemns Demolition of Palestinians' Homes
El-Tayeb held a phone conversation with Jordan's King Abdullah about the situation in Palestine, Alwafd reported.
He condemned the Israeli measures against innocent Palestinians and demolition of their homes while also appreciating the efforts and stances of Jordan for supporting Palestine.
Abdullah, for his part, said that Jordan will continue its responsibility for preserving holy Islamic and Christian places in Palestine.
Jordan will do its utmost to support the Palestinian nation and stop Israeli aggression, he said, adding that actions against Palestinian people will undermine the possibility of achieving a just and comprehensive peace.
The crimes of the occupying forces against Palestine have intensified in the past weeks. The Israeli regime, for instance, has forced two Palestinians to demolish their homes in occupied lands.
