Turkish Charity Donates Copies of Quran to Gaza

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Turkish society has offered thousands of Holy Quran copies to mosques and centers in Palestine’s Gaza.

 

"Ghazi Destek" is the name of the society which is active in the Gaza strip and on Tuesday, it delivered a batch of new copies of the Holy Quran to the mosques and Quran memorization circles, Yeni Safak reported. 

According to Hani Thuraya, representative of the "Ghazi Destek" in Gaza, the distribution of the Quran copies comes as a continuation of the project dubbed “Let My Gifts be the Quran”, which is supervised by the Turkish religious endowment institution.

The project includes distributing 50,000 copies of the Quran in Palestine, including 20,000 in the Gaza Strip, and 30,000 in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem al-Quds.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Turkish government and people for backing the project. 

The Quran copies are titled “Al-Aqsa Mushaf” and the slogan of the project “Let My Gifts be the Quran” is printed on the back cover.

The society began its activities in the Gaza Strip in 2017 and has since implemented a number of relief and development projects in the Strip with the help of donations coming from the Turkish people and government.
