TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s Culture Minister said the International Quran Exhibition will be held in person again this year.

Iran’s Culture Minister Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili

Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, who was in Tabriz on Friday to inaugurate a number of cultural and art projects, said after a two-year hiatus, the exhibition will be organized in the holy month of Ramadan (April) this year.

He said all provinces of the country will take part in the Quranic event.

Earlier this week, Alireza Moaf, the Quran and Etrat deputy of the ministry, said if the National Headquarters for Fighting the Coronavirus allows it, the next edition of the expo will be held in person.

He said the secretariat of the exhibition has been set up and is making the necessary preparations.

So far a number of meetings have also been held to discuss the organization of the Quranic event.

The Tehran International Quran Exhibition is annually organized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.

In 2020 the expo was called off and in 2021 it was held virtually due to the coronavirus restrictions in the country.

The exhibition is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.

It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
