Imam Reza Shrine, Turkish Islamic Centers Set to Enhance Ties

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Imam Reza holy shrine is exploring avenues for boosting cultural and scientific relations with Turkish cultural and Islamic centers, says Ahad Faramarz Gharamaleki, head of Islamic Research Foundation, who is in Turkey heading a high-caliber delegation.

 

Having various meetings with Turkish intellectuals and participating in different TV shows in Istanbul, Gharamaleki explored existing grounds for bilateral cooperation on research, media, and publications projects. Fulfillment of pilgrimage diplomacy and facilitating travel of Turkish nationals to Mashhad were also two major topics pointed out by Iranian delegation.

In a meeting with Sheikh Qadir Akaras, head of the Union of Turkish Ulema (Ehlader), and Sheikh Salahuddin Ozgunduz, founder of Zeinabiyah Movement of Turkey, Gharamaleki discussed methods for consolidation of scientific and cultural ties between two Turkish centers and Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad. 

Meanwhile, head of Islamic Research Foundation of Imam Reza holy shrine met with Javad Maboudifar, consul general of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Istanbul, and discussed strategies for removing obstacles before activities of Scientific and Cultural Foundation of Imam Reza shrine in Turkey.  

Participating in the mourning ceremony of Tasua at the consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Istanbul and having an interview with Channel 14 of Istanbul’s Television on the subject of Imam Reza (AS) and pilgrimage were some other programs of the representative of Imam Reza shrine in Turkey.
