Speaking in a memorial ceremony for the mother of Ahmed Qasir, one of the martyrs of Hezbollah, Sayed Hashem Safieddine added that there is no other way than resistance to achieve this objective, Al-Ahed News reported.
“Today, we are more prepared than ever (to confront the foes) and will foil their conspiracies with the grace of God,” he said.
“The enemies are not going to leave us alone” and it is a delusion to think that one can achieve anything via making concessions to the enemies, Safieddine stated.
“We know well how to confront these plots and defeat them,” the head of the Executive Council of Hezbollah stressed.
The cleric added that the knowledge comes from years of resistance and thanks to the blood of martyrs like Ahmad Qasir and sacrifices of the movement’s heroes.
He further referred to the difficulties and challenges Lebanon is facing today, including sanctions, and underlined the need for steadfastness, patience and Tawakkul (putting one’s trust in God).
Ahmad Qasir, who was a member of Hezbollah, was martyred in an operation against the Zionist regime’s army forces in 1982.
