Mohammad Ali Raghebi told IQNA that memorizing verses pertaining to Oneness of God, prophethood, resurrection, etc can also be helpful in strengthening the students’ belief bases.
“This can also be practiced in the category of Quran interpretation, where the participants are asked questions on verses with similar themes,” he added.
Referring to the university students’ national Quran festival, Mr. Raghebi said that the contests in the festival are held at good level, “though there is room for more improvement in holding the event.”
“As all the activities in an Islamic system, like that of our country, needs to be based on the teachings of the holy Quran, organizing such events as the university students Quran festival needs to be a priority in order to further acquaint the students with Qurani9c concepts and teachings,” he stated.
“Even for the students of the Quranic colleges whose field of study requires them to study and contemplate on the verses of the holy Quran on a daily basis, Quranic contests are helpful and challenging,” he went on to say.
