Quranic Education in Turkey’s 90000 Mosques

-- There are 90000 mosques in Turkey, in all of which Quranic courses are held.
This is according to Professor Ali Bardak Ughlu, head of Turkey’s Dianat (religious affairs) Organization who was speaking in a meeting with head of the Islamic Propagation Office of Qom’s Islamic Seminary.
Professor Bardak Ughlu added that some 12 thousand students are learning the Quran in mosques across Turkey.
Briefing the visiting Iranian official about his organization, he said that it has 103,000 personnel active in educational, cultural, and research fields.
Elsewhere in his remarks, head of Turkey’s Dianat Organization said that among the people in Turkey there is a great devotion to Ahl-ol-Bayt (AS), regarding it as an important factor for strengthening Islamic unity and fraternity.
He also expressed hope for the expansion of cooperations between Iran and Turkey in different cultural, religious and scientific fields.
Head of the Islamic Propagation Office of Qom’s Islamic Seminary, for his part, said that the Islamic world needs to prioritize science and knowledge in order to maintain its greatness and dignity.
Hojat-ol-Islam Hassan Rabbani also said that his office is ready for cooperation with the Dianat Organization in different fields.
