Milad-un-Nabi Celebration in Sri Lanka

-- The auspicious birth of the holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) was celebrated today in Sri Lanka’s capital Colombo.
The ceremony was organized by the Iranian Cultural Center in Sri Lanka and attended by Molawi Nias Miad religious advisor to the country’s president, Azver the president’s top advisor, Sheikh Tangil and a number of officials from the Ministry of Muslims’ Affairs.
Reza Azizian, an official with the cultural center, delivered a speech on the character and life of the holy Prophet (PBUH) and also touched on the presence of Muslims in Sri Lanka.
Mowludi Khani, Quran recitation and Tawasheeh songs were among other programs at the function.
There are other ceremonies to be held on the auspicious occasion in the cities of Taharia and Bravala. They are slated for March 6.
