Ayatollah Jannati to Deliver the Sermons of This Week’s Friday Prayers
--The congregational Friday prayers of this week on February 18 will be performed by Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, chairman of the Guardian Council and interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran.
The sermons of the prayer will begin from 11 a.m local time followed by recitation of verses from the Quran by Medi Gholamnejad, a top Quran reciter of the country.
Hojat-ol-Islam Moghaddasi will then elaborate on some religious issues and Aliakbar Aghaee, head of civil commission of Iranian Parliament will present a report.
Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Reza Taghavi, head of Friday Prayer Leaders’ legislative council will also make a speech regarding Alavi Seerah before the sermons.
Adhan (the call for prayers) will be called out at 12:15 p.m local time.
