-- The 33rd edition of national Quran competitions on memorization, recitation, Tarteel and Quranic concepts by the Organization of Awqaf and Charity Affairs will be broadcast by the Quran TV channel.
According to the Quran TV website, Hossein Farasat, producer of the program covering this edition of the Quran contest said 180 male and 170 female participants will compete in various categories of the contest at Helal Ahmar Hall in Yazd.
“The opening ceremony of the competitions has been organized to be held on March 3 with the presence of the governor of Yazd, Rezayar, vice president and Hojat-ol-Islam Ahmad Sharafkhani, cultural deputy of the organization from 9 to 11 a.m. local time.”
He added that Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Mohammadi, head of the organization will be present at the closing ceremony of the contest to be held on March 7 from 3 to 6 p.m.
The Quran TV Channel plans to produce 8 programs on the competition including interviews with top participants, organizers and the jury of the contest.
