Preliminary Stage Nat’l Quran Contest Ends
-- Preliminary stage of the national Awqaf Quran competition in memorization category concluded yesterday, March 6, in the city of Yazd.
55 contenders in the memorization of entire Quran category and 32 in the memorization of 20 Juzes (parts) category, took part in the first stage.
Those making it to the final stage will compete in their respective category today.
This is the 33rd edition of the national Quran competition organized by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.
Quran reciters and memorizers from 31 provinces of the country are attending the 3-day competition. It will come to an end this evening with a ceremony to honor and award the winners in different categories.
