Az-Zahra University to Host Conference on Quran Translations
Dean of Az-Zahra University’s faculty of letter said the faculty plans to organize a conference on translations of the Holy Quran.
Batul Meshkinfam told IQNA that the conference aims to investigate the Persian translations of the Quran and discuss the weaknesses in this area.
She invited scholars and researchers to contribute to the conference by conducting research on Quran renderings.
“Translations of the Quran and reviewing the pitfalls and difficulties in this field are among the concerns of the Quranic community,” Dr Meshkinfam stated.
Noting that the exact date of the conference has not been determined yet, she said it would be held sometime in late autumn.
Dr Meshkinfam referred to the research studies conducted with a religious approach and said there have been weak works presented in the field the reason of which should be investigated.
