“Resurrection Day” to Be Screened Next Year

The Movie “Resurrection Day” by Ahmad Reza Darivish is to be prepared for screening in Iranian movie theaters in the following Iranian calendar year (begins March 2012).
The drama features historical events in the first century after the advent of Islam from the death of Umawid ruler Muawia until the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) on the day of Ashura.
Darvish began studying for the movie in 2002 and the shooting began in 2009.
The film is now in the post-production stage and is expected to be ready for its premiere next year.
In recent days and on the eve of Tasua and Ashura (martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS)), the film’s director has published a number of the film’s photos in his social network page.
During the first ten days of Muharram, Darvish publishes a new photo of the film and a statement by famous world figures about Ashura and Imam Hussein (AS) uprising everyday.
One of the photos published features scenes about Imam Hussein’s (AS) camp in a region between Makkah and Karbala called Zu Hassam.
The movie “Resurrection Day” is among few Iranian movies in whose production the CGI technique has been properly used.
Darvish is to present his latest movie to all those who love justice and nobleness.
