Speaking to IQNA, Hassan Rabieyan added that organizing any competition or festival for Muslim students from different countries of the world is commendable.
He said the International Quran Competition for Muslim Students deserves more attention than other such events as it is attended by elite contenders from around the world.
Rabieyan stressed that there should be no weakness in organization of the contest.
He pointed to the negative propaganda against Iran’s Quranic activities and said holding such events would foil the propaganda as representatives of different countries learn about Iran’s Quranic activities and the country’s Quranic culture.
Positive interaction with the participants will help to dispel myths that Iranians have a different Quran than other Muslims, he said.
The internationally acclaimed Quran reciter also said there should be efforts to pave the way for contenders to have interactions with Iranian Quranic community. “In fact, the participants can be ambassadors who will convey the pure Quranic culture of the Islamic republic of Iran [to their own people].”
Rabieyan further referred to Iran’s experiences in holding Quranic competitions at the international levels and hoped the 4th International Quran Competition for Muslim would be held optimally suing these experiences.
He also regarded selection of prominent Quran experts as members of the competition’s jury as an important facor contributing to the higher quality of the contest.
The Iranian Quranic figure further urged for holding sideline activities and programs such as religious and Quranic forums for the contestants.
