An ideal Islamic society is founded on three principles of spirituality, ethics and justice, vice deputy of Iranian judiciary said.
Addressing the Friday prayer worshipers before the sermons on June 15, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Ebrahim Raeesi, vice deputy of the Judiciary and member of the Assembly of Experts, referred to ‘guidance’ as the most important Divine blessing bestowed to man, adding: “What differentiates men from animals is the human nature and soul which develops through God’s guidance conveyed by His messengers.
Referring to Verse 5 of Surah Qesas, “And We wanted to be gracious to those abased in the land, and to make them leaders and inheritors,” he added: “The Holy Quran is a book of wisdom and knowledge which should be taught by the Prophet (PBUH) and the Infallibles (AS), as a link between this world and the spiritual realm, to help people transcend worldly desires and move towards perfection.”
“The most free individuals are those who are most obedient to God, inviting all people to this spiritual path as well.”
“A perfect Islamic society is one established based on spirituality, ethics and justice in which religious teachings and guidelines run through all its relations and interactions.”
Hojat-ol-Islam Raeesi further referred to the oppositions that the Infallibles (AS) encountered during their Imamat, noting “had it not been for their steadfast efforts to counter such hostility, true Islam could never have been conveyed to the next generations.”
Highlighting the necessity of controlling crimes in society, he urged cultural officials to take effective steps to prevent culprits from committing crimes through appropriate rules.
He later cited a Hadith of Imam Kadhim’s (AS) which says “those who endeavor to promote the Islamic culture will be awarded by God and are immune to the chastisements on the Day of Judgment.”
