Warm Reception of Int'l Quran Competition Foils Enemy Plots

People’s warm reception of the International Holy Quran Competition can serve to dispel negative propaganda against Shia Islam, an Awaqf Organization official said.
Hojat-ol-Islam Bani-Ahmadi, director general of Alborz Province’s Awqaf Department, said it can foil the enemies’ plots again Shiism.
He told IQNA that given the schemes of the hegemonic powers and the enmity of evil-wishers with the Islamic Republic of Iran, organizing the competition can play a major part in familiarizing Muslim nations with the Islamic Republic and promoting cultural exchanges.
Hojat-ol-Islam Bani-Ahmadi noted that participation of Quran reciters and memorizers from over 65 countries in the competition signifies the important status of the contest at the international level.
He said the level of the participants and jury members of the competition grows year after year, “which is the result of efforts made by the country’s Quranic community, especially the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.
