One effective strategy to raise the level of international Quran competitions in the country is to organize them in an integrated way, head of Quranic Community in Tehran Province said.
Talking to IQNA, Mohammad Reza Pourmo’in highlighted the organization of international Quran contests as a characteristic feature of all Islamic systems, adding that the competitions can have profound influences on the contestants and audience.
Referring to the 29th edition of Iran’s International Quran Competition which was very well-received by all classes of people, he added: “This shows the Iranians’ deep respect for the Holy Quran and Ahlul-Bayt (AS).”
He further stressed the significant outcomes the competition can bring forth in the country, calling for more serious heed to this highly influential event.
“We need to follow the Supreme Leader’s instructions in different Quranic, political, artistic, etc spheres and employ them to organize Quranic events in the best manner,” he went on to say.
Pourmo’in also elaborated on possible ways for improving the quality of international Quran competition, adding: “The contest already meets the international standards; however, we can still raise its quality and provide women with the opportunity to participate in international competitions.”
“One effective strategy to improve the contest’s quality and increase the number of its audience is to organize it for school and university students while avoiding to hold it for different age groups.”
Instead of organizing a number of international contests for different classes and groups during the year, we can integrate them to a single event in which individuals of different genders and age groups can participate,” Pourmo’in further noted.
