The competition was held in the northern province of Mazandaran from January 28 to February 1.
The participants competed in the categories of memorization of the Quran, Quran recitation, and Quranic concepts, in two separate sections for men and women.
In the women’s section, Azam Mohammadi from Bushehr, Zeynab Sadat Sajjadi from Qom, Fatemeh Rahmdar from Qom, Mahtab Eidi from Lorestan and Masoumeh Agahi from Tehran came first in the categories of memorization of the entire Quran, memorization of 20 Juzes (parts) of the Quran, Tarteel recitation, Tahghigh recitation and Quranic concepts, respectively.
In the men’s section, the top-title winners were Vahid Vakili from West Azarbaijan (Tahghigh recitation), Ali Akbar Kazemi from Yazd (Tarteel recitation), Mohammad Reza Khaleghi from Isfahan (Quranic concepts), Hashem Soltaninejad from Kerman (memorization of the entire Quran), and Navid Razmju from Fars (memorization of 20 Juzes).
The winners will receive their awards in the closing ceremony of the contest, which is slated to be held on Saturday in the Hilal Ahmar Hall of the city of Sari.
