Conference of Labor Ministers of the OIC Member States in Baku

The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Prof Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu, heads today (Wednesday 24 April 2013) to the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku to participate in the proceedings of the Conference of Labor Ministers of the OIC Member States to be held on 23-26 April 2013.
The Conference of Labor Ministers of the OIC Member States will be held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, on 23-26 April 2013. The Conference will discuss various cooperation issues related to labor and employment in OIC countries such as: Occupational Safety and Health; Reducing Unemployment; Workforce Capacity Development Projects; Foreign Migrant Labor; and Labor Market Information.
In addition to adopting some resolutions on these issues, the Conference will deliberate on and adopt the “Draft OIC Framework for Cooperation on Labor and Employment Related Issues”, which has been prepared pursuant to the conclusion of the 1st Meeting of Labor Ministers of OIC Member States held in Istanbul on 10th September 2011.
