66 Countries to Attend Int’l Quran Competition in Saudi Arabia
TEHRAN (IQNA) – 124 Quran activists from 66 countries have expressed their readiness to participate in the 37th edition of international Quran memorization, recitation and interpretation competition in Saudi Arabia.
According to alweeam.com, this edition of the competitions titled “Malik Abdulaziz International Quran Competitions” will be held from 25th to the 29th of Muharram month (November 8 to 12) in the Grand Mosque of the holy city of Makkah.
Mansour ibn Muhammad Al-Sameeh, secretary general of national and international Quran competitions in Saudi Arabia, announced that the participants should not be older than 25 and it should be the first time that they attend the competition in Saudi Arabia.
The participants should not be from among eminent Qaris and Quran experts of their countries.
138 Quran memorizers from 59 countries took part in the previous edition of the Quran competition.
