Scholar to Review Latest Russian Translation of Quran at Tehran Int’l Book Fair

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Features of the most recent translation of the Quran in the Russian language will be discussed in a speech at the upcoming international book fair in Tehran.

 

University and seminary scholar Rafi ud Din Asfarev will delivered the speech on Friday, May 4.

The Russian Foundation for Islamic Studies will organize the program at its booth the book fair.

The boost plans to hold other programs, including a ceremony to unveil a Russian translation of the book “Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)”.

It will be attended by the author, Hossein Seyedi.

Six volumes of the translation have been published so far.  

The 31st edition of the Tehran International Book Fair will kick off in the Iranian capital on May 2.

The Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) will host the cultural event, which will run until May 12.

Some 2,500 domestic and 600 foreign publishers are expected to attend the book fair.
